WSOP Europe Schedule Changes as GGPoker Adds Sats
It slipped by the radar. As the 2021 World Series of Poker has been the center of the poker world since it began on September 30, most of us missed the news that the WSOP Europe schedule changed. The news only quietly emerged on the King’s Casino Twitter account – no press releases, not even a dedicated page on the WSOP website for the WSOP Europe.
Regardless, there have been schedule changes.
GGPoker announced this week that the WSOP Europe satellites will start on October 17. The news may be coming from different places, but we’ll summarize it here.
New WSOP Europe Dates
The new schedule appears to change some of the tournament order for the WSOP Europe. The dates of many events are also different.
WSOP Europe will still play at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. It will still kick off on November 19 and offer 15 events in total.
King’s Casino announced the original WSOPE schedule in July, but for clarity’s sake, we’ll simply post the most updated one here.
-Event 1 (Nov 19-22): €350 buy-in NLHE Opener (€300K GTD)
-Event 2 (Nov 20-23): €550 buy-in PLO 8-Max (€200K GTD)
-Event 3 (Nov 22-26): €1,350 buy-in NLHE Mini Main Event (€600K GTD)
-Event 4 (Nov 23-24): €2K buy-in PLO (€200K GTD)
-Event 5 (Nov 24-29): €550 buy-in NLHE Colossus (€1M GTD)
-Event 6 (Nov 25-26): €1,650 buy-in PLO-NLHE Mix (€200K GTD)
-Event 7 (Nov 27-28): €5K buy-in PLO (€150K GTD)
-Event 8 (Nov 28-29): €2,500 buy-in Short Deck (€200K GTD)
-Event 9 (Nov 29): €1,100 buy-in NLHE Bounty Hunter (€200K GTD)
-Event 10 (Nov 29-30): €25K buy-in NLHE Platinum High Roller (€1M GTD)
-Event 11 (Nov 30-Dec 1): €1,650 buy-in NLHE 6-Max (€200K GTD)
-Event 12 (Dec 1-2): €2K buy-in 8-Game Mix (€150K GTD)
-Event 13 (Dec 2-3): €50K buy-in NLHE Diamond High Roller (€2M GTD)
-Event 14 (Dec 3-8): €10,350 buy-in NLHE Main Event (€5M GTD)
-Event 15 (Dec 6-7): €100K buy-in NLHE Super High Roller
The €1K Classic Freezeout event that had been Event 6 was removed, and a €100K Super High Roller made it to the end of the schedule, though no guarantee is listed for it. Removing that €150K guarantee from the total, it puts the cumulative guarantee at €11.4M.

Road to WSOP Europe
This week, GGPoker announced exclusive satellites to the WSOP Europe. The Road to WSOP Europe gets underway on Sunday, October 17. There is no end date to the promotion, so it will likely run through October and most of November.
The Road to WSOP Europe starts with buy-ins as low as €25 and as high as €1K, all with WSOPE Main Event seats worth €10,350 on the line. The full schedule of satellites and steps are on the GGPoker website. As an example, though, let’s look at what’s available on this first Sunday alone:
-Eight €108 steps to €1K (€2,100 GTD)
-Five €55 steps to €525 (€1,050 GTD)
-Four €25 steps to €250 (€500 GTD)
-Two €1K satellites to €10K seat (1 seat GTD)
-One €525 satellite to €10K seat (1 seat GTD)
-One €250 satellite to €10K seat (1 seat GTD)
There are no prize packages, only the Main Event seat itself. The rules state, “Winning players must take responsibility for organizing their own travel and accommodation requirements.” Players who win more than one seat will win the first one as a seat and then €10,000 in tournament dollars on GGPoker for each additional one.
