WSOP Circuit Publishes 2022-2023 Schedule
As the 2022 World Series of Poker lunges forward, in the middle of its seven-week stint in Las Vegas, the WSOP revealed news about the next Circuit season.
It’s never too early for poker players to start planning their trips for the second half of 2022 and even into 2023. And with all eyes on the World Series, it can’t hurt to give the WSOP Circuit a little attention.
WSOPC 2022-2023
The upcoming WSOP Circuit season will be Season 18 and will run from July 2022 through May 2023. Thus, many will often refer to it as the 2022-2023 season.
The action will kick off as soon as the 2022 WSOP in Las Vegas wraps.
The first stop of the new season will be at Choctaw in Durant, Oklahoma. So far, there are 25 stops on the schedule, including the Choctaw kickoff, but there will be many more stops announced. The WSOP will announce at least 10 more in the weeks to follow. (Last year, international stops joined the schedule as late as the second half of the season.)
WSOP Senior VP and Executive Director Ty Stewart noted that he expects the Circuit to return to its pre-pandemic status with pre-pandemic attendance. “With record-breaking attendance so far this summer (at the WSOP in Las Vegas),” he said, “we expect a huge response to the full-scale return of our regional mid-stakes tour.”

Of the 25 stops on the schedule thus far, three stops are new: Grand Victoria Casino Chicago, Harveys Lake Tahoe, and Caesars Southern Indiana.
Note that most of the Circuit stops will offer a series of events, typically about one dozen, that will each include a four-day Main Event. The addition of ladies-only and seniors-only tournaments are at the discretion of the host casinos, but the WSOP has encouraged them to host those specialty events.
