WSOP Adds 11 Online Gold Bracelet Events in US
Just when one may have assumed that the World Series of Poker published its final schedules for the 2021 WSOP, one is proven wrong. Just this week, the WSOP announced the addition of 11 online poker bracelet events for players in the United States. Ten of those events will take place on the WSOP.com site shared by players in Nevada and New Jersey, with the other one available only to those located within the state of Pennsylvania. All of them will happen from October 3 to November 21 – during the time that the live WSOP will be happening in Las Vegas.
The entirety of WSOP gold bracelets to be awarded in 2021 had been set at 177. However, with the addition of 11 more tournaments, it brings the total to 188 for the year.
Is that the final number? We may not be able to know for certain until December 31, 2021.
New Online Events
The new announcement came on Friday, September 17. Less than two weeks before the start of the WSOP in Las Vegas, World Series executives announced another series of online tournaments, this schedule to coincide with the live Vegas series.
For poker players located in Nevada or New Jersey, they will find these events available:
Event 1 on Sunday, Oct 3 at 3:30pm: $5,300 buy-in NLHE Freezeout
Event 2 on Sunday, Oct 3 at 5:30pm: $500 buy-in NLHE Big 500 (3x reentries)
Event 3 on Sunday, Oct 10 at 5:30pm: $400 buy-in NLHE Ultra Deepstack (2x reentries)

Event 10 on Sunday, Nov 21 at 5:30pm: $1K buy-in NLHE Mini Main Event Freezeout
For players in Pennsylvania only, there will be one event there that corresponds with – but does not link player pools with – the others. That one will be:
Event 1 on Sunday, Nov 21 at 3:30pm: $1K buy-in NLHE Mini Main Event Freezeout
WSOP Senior VP Ty Stewart noted, “Our philosophy has always been to provide players the most options of any poker festival in the world. WSOP.com online bracelets have a strong track record of significant prize pools, making them a great option for players who want to multi-table while in a live tournament or play from the convenience of their home or hotel.”
Getting to 188 Events
Since it seems to change and grow, we figured it might be helpful to provide a list of the 2021 WSOP bracelet events thus far. There are now 188 in total.
The new online bracelet events for this year will be numbered separately from the live WSOP tournaments at the Rio. The WSOP is categorizing them as OB (online bracelet) events, not to be inserted into the 88-event schedule happening at the Rio Convention Center.
