CBS Sports Network Starts Airing 2021 WSOP Episodes
Most poker fans are not in Las Vegas. Even for those who are in Vegas, there’s really no way to witness al of the action at a tournament table, even a final table filmed for PokerGO and CBS Sports Network. The best way for all poker players and fans to see the 2021 World Series of Poker is via PokerGO and the CBS Sports Network.
Only a week after it started airing, we have a copy of the first half of the schedule, the one that started on November 3 and runs through December 2.
First Foray into New Agreement
Back in April of this year, as the World Series of Poker was preparing its post-pandemic comeback, they made a somewhat surprising announcement. The WSOP parted ways with ESPN in favor of a new, multi-year agreement with CBS Sports Network. They declared CBSSN the “exclusive domestic home of the WSOP,” starting with 2021.
The deal was also a part of the multi-way production put together by PokerGO and the WSOP. They planned to work with CBS Sports Network to present more extensive and fresh coverage of the live series in Las Vegas.
The original announcement indicated that there would be 36 hours of non-Main Event coverage to highlight 18 tournaments, as well as 15 hours of that Main Event itself. Altogether, there would be 51 episodes of the WSOP 2021.
And now, the first half of that coverage is on the schedule.
WSOP on CBS Schedule, Part One
