WPTDeepStacks Extends Thunder Valley Partnership
As March gets underway, the World Poker Tour is still playing out its Season XVIII main tour and WPTDeepStacks.
The WPT’s main tour is near its home office at the L.A. Poker Classic and heading to Thunder Valley in the northern part of the state for WPT Rolling Thunder. From there, it will head to Las Vegas, Barcelona, Florida, Oklahoma, and back to Las Vegas to finish its season.
WPTDeepStacks is currently in Paris, then moving on to Amsterdam before heading back to the United States for tournaments in Maryland and Florida. There are more events on the schedule, including a WPTDeepStacks Championship at Thunder Valley Casino.
And there is the news.
A renewal of the solid partnership between WPTDeepStacks and Thunder Valley Resort will put events at the casino through Season XX.
Thunder Valley Announcement
Last week, WPTDeepStacks announced that it renewed its partnership with Thunder Valley Resort in Lincoln, California, just north of Sacramento. The casino will host the following events:
–WPTDeepStacks Championship 2020: April 4-7, 2020
–WPTDeepStacks Thunder Velley: November 2020
–WPTDeepStacks Championship 2021: March 2020
–WPTDeepStacks Thunder Valley 2021: November 2021
–WPTDeepStacks Championship 2022: April 2022
WPTDS Director Cathy Zhao called Thunder Valley one of the top poker destinations in the world and invites players to join the tournament in early April.
Thunder Valley Poker Director Ben Erwin noted, “The new poker room, built in 2018, provides an optimal playing environment that is perfectly suited for an event of this magnitude. We welcome players from all over the county and beyond to join us for the $1 million guaranteed WPTDeepStacks Championship.”

Championship Details
The aforementioned WPTDS Championship will consist of an entire festival set to run at Thunder Valley from March 19 through April 7.
The festival’s full schedule is available through the Thunder Valley website. Some of the highlights of the series are as follows:
–March 20-22: $160 100K Catapult NLHE (5 starting flights, 1 reentry per flight, $100K GTD)
–March 23-25: $260 Action 8 NLHE (3 starting flights, unlimited reentries, $100K GTD)
–March 26-29: $1,100 Stacked NLHE (3 starting flights, 1 reentry per flight, $500K GTD)
–April 2-3: $560 Leaning Tower of Chips NLHE (2 starting flights, 1 reentry per flight, $100K GTD)
–April 4-7: $2,500 WPTDeepStacks NLHE Championship (2 starting flights, 1 reentry per flight, $1M GTD, 1-in-8 players paid)
The final table of the WPTDS Main Event will be livestreamed on April 7, the final day of the event, on the WPT website with a 30-minute delay.

As mentioned, the season continues with events around the world that will lead up to the Championship in April and extend beyond it to complete the season. With WPTDS Paris finishing up today, another event is just around the corner.
