WPTDeepStacks to Debut November Choctaw Stop
The World Poker Tour’s main tour often gets attention because, well, it’s the main tour. But while that main tour has been rolling with the punches in 2021 and putting together as many live poker tournament stops as possible, WPTDeepStacks has been doing the same.
Its Season VII actually started in May 2021 with a much-anticipated return to Australia’s Gold Coast. There was a stop at the Venetian in Las Vegas alongside a main tour event, and the team did trek over to Russia for WPTDeepStacks Sochi in August
Meanwhile, WPTDS has been doing online work as well. In the Indian market, the tour teamed up with Adda52 to offer WPT Online India last month.
Going forward, several stops remain on the WPTDS tour. Action will go online in October, then for the first time to Choctaw in November, and on to the WPTDS Championship at Thunder Valley in California.
Online at partypoker in October
Before the next live tournament stop, international poker players can get involved in the WPTDS Online series on partypoker. The entire series will run October 10-26, though that schedule has yet to be released.
The WPTDeepStacks Online Main Event, though, is set. Starting flights run for three Sundays in a row before the survivors gather to play for the win. That tournament will require a $1K buy-in and offer a $1M guarantee on the prize pool.
-Sunday, Oct 10 at 19:05: Day 1A
-Sunday, Oct 17 at 19:05: Day 1B
-Sunday, Oct 24 at 19:05: Day 1C
-Monday, Oct 25 at 16:05: Day 1D turbo

Each starting flight will offer one reentry. And every entry comes with 250K chips.
When partypoker posts the full schedule, it will be on the partypoker LIVE website.

Thunder Valley Scheduled Again
Earlier in 2021, when it looked like the live tournament scene was ready to roar again, WPTDeepStacks planned its season-ending Championship for late March into early April. However, the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant prompted poker rooms and the WPT to reevaluate large gatherings. Thunder Valley ultimately made the decision to postpone the series.
With careful consideration and review of issues pertaining to the coronavirus (COVID-19), Thunder Valley has postponed the upcoming WPTDeepStacks Championship originally scheduled for March 19 through April 7.
