Winning Poker Network Bans Bots and Preps Wills
The increased focus on security at the Winning Poker Network results in more site updates and improvements each month. More than that, the security team is more adept at identifying bots every month, as technology mixed with expertise seeks them out more regularly.
Latest Bot Bans
Since the security team – officially the Game Integrity Team – at the Winning Poker Network has been monitoring the online poker tables even more closely than ever, there are fewer bots that make it through the safety mechanisms in place. But when they do, WPN catches them.
It doesn’t hurt that Randy “nanonoko” Lew has been the WPN Security Consultant and Gameplay Expert since late 2020. His extensive poker history puts him in a key position to rid WPN sites of poker bots.
Most recently, Lew announced the bans thus far in 2021. And after the WPN team completed the investigations, they identified 4,715 players due money from the banned and seized accounts. The tally this time topped $153K.
-Beast008 (Russia) banned March 9 = $123,206 reimbursed
-Wook (USA) banned March 20 = $10,802.35 reimbursed
-Durashura (Ukraine) banned August 12 = $6,700 reimbursed
-Ezyonme (USA) banned March 17 = $5,337.84 reimbursed
-THODINHO (Brazil) banned October 31 = $3,696 reimbursed
-tuckercarlson (USA) banned March 9 = $1,744 reimbursed
-MILKTHIS (USA) banned March 20 = $1,566 reimbursed
-RanRande (China) banned March 17 = $259.18 reimbursed
-POPPASTACK (USA) banned March 17 = 73.32 reimbursed
WPN contacts players who were victims of the bots and informs them of the reimbursements. Players can also view the public list of banned accounts and affected users on the WPN website.
⚠️Providing a safe and secure poker site continues to be our top priority.
Our Game Integrity Team has banned 9 accounts for breaking the T&C’s, refunding ($153,088.77) total to 4715 players.🔒

Next Software Update: June 30
Each month, all sites on the Winning Poker Network shut down for approximately one hour to install software updates. The most recent one happened on June 1:
The next one is set for June 30 from 7am to 8am ET.
One of the security-related updates will improve security functions related to restricted applications. Other updates will include:
-New sounds for winning a pot and Blitz Poker tables
-Automatic sound for Jackpot Poker tables
-Blitz table animation opt-out
-Blitz players will see amount of buy-in via initial buy-in settings in dialogue box
The updated platform will automatically prevent players from buying in to a flight after making Day 2 via another flight. The goal is to allow players to register for only one flight at a time.
This update will also enable players to create a poker will if they choose. The poker will – also known as a bankroll beneficiary – will allow players to set parameters for turning over the contents of his or her account to another person. For example, I could set my poker will for a one-year period. If I go one full year without logging in, WPN will attempt to contact me by every means I provide. If they are unable to contact me after numerous attempts, WPN will give the money in my account to the person I designate in my poker will. I can even split up the money by giving 50% to one person and 50% to another – with percentages that I choose.
When we last wrote about poker wills, WPN noted that it would only be possible to will money through bitcoin. It is unclear if this will change in the future.
And you think about it no will no lawyers no % to the bottom feeders so many industries could adopt this kind of thing. Yet another way Crypto rocks.
