Tournament Dollars and MILLION Return to PartyPoker
The mantra of PartyPoker these days is one that harkens back to the traditional “customer is always right” slogan. And it has been working. Not only are players and PartyPoker representatives in contact via social media and other means, the online poker operator is evolving regularly as customers dictate.
PartyPoker assumed a closer relationship with its players over the past couple of years, but Rob Yong – Dusk Till Dawn casino owner in the UK and PartyPoker “partner” – has taken the reins as this year has progressed.
Yong is consistently asking questions of players on Twitter, sometimes using polls to gage player feelings about potential changes, and he provides video updates to explain changes being implemented.
RE: Earlier MTT finishes @partypoker from today:Been experimenting adding 450-900, 900-1.8K etc into structures to smooth out CPR to reduce clocks on some MTTs without impacting experience = 'compromise' for players who work in mornings V players happy to play all night. Now, due to popular demand and player input, PartyPoker is bringing back tournament dollars and the PartyPoker MILLION Sunday tournament.
Players are also winning their way into the MILLIONS Online tournament already in a special promotion that runs through November 3.
Tournament Dollars Return October 27
Yong first delivered the message about tournament dollars on October 13, but the date of their implementation is now approaching.
The current situation for satellite winners is that players can win satellite tickets. Those tickets are valid for a particular tournament and expire 7-28 days from the date of the win.
Players have long complained about the inflexibility of these tickets, and PartyPoker has long avoided a discussion about bringing tournament dollars back due to complications. PartyPoker will not be able to track tournament dollars as easily, won’t be able to predict how players might use them.
Tournament dollars will have a great deal of flexibility. Not only will they be valid for a full year, they can be used for any combination of tournaments. For example, a $50 tournament ticket can be used for a $50 tournament, five $10 tournaments, ten $5 tournaments, or 50 $1 tournaments.
While it may be hard for PartyPoker to track outstanding tournament dollars, Yong announced a plan for “high-risk” events. Certain tournaments will offer direct satellites, so the operator will know how many entries are possible in those events from satellite wins.

PartyPoker MILLION Returns October 27
Back in the day, when online poker thrived across the world with no limits, everyone tuned in on Sunday to play or watch the massive games. One of the Sunday staples was the PartyPoker MILLION, a $215 buy-in tournament.
It will make its long-awaited return on Sunday, October 27, with a $1 million prize pool guarantee.
A new structure will make the tournament playable for all competitors, even those who have to report to a job on Monday morning. The tournament will run for several days and finish on Sunday, November 3, with details as follows:
–Sunday, October 27 at 4pm EDT: Day 1A
–Tuesday, October 29 at 4pm EDT: Day 1B

–Sunday, November 3 at 10am EDT: Day 1D
–Sunday, November 3 at 2pm EDT: Final
Players can buy in to as many of the flights as they choose and take the largest stack to the final. And each flight will last less than four hours.
Satellites start as low as $1.10.
The winner of the PartyPoker MILLION will win a six-figure cash prize as well as a ticket to the MILLIONS Online worth $10,300.

Million for MILLIONS Online
Different from the MILLION – singular – above, the MILLIONS Online is an even bigger online tournament. It is the online component of the PartyPoker LIVE tour, comprised of mostly live tournaments around the world.
The MILLIONS Online is set for December 1-10 online at PartyPoker, a massive tournament with a $20 million prize pool guarantee.
Last year’s event had the same guarantee but offered buy-ins for $5,300, and it finished with a $22 million prize pool. This year, the $20 million guarantee is up for grabs with a $10,300 buy-in per player. But with that bigger buy-in comes more opportunities to win entries.
The event this year will start on Sunday, December 1, and it will finish on Tuesday, December 10.
The latest promotion from PartyPoker called M4M offers players a chance to get into the MILLIONS Online for as little as $1.10. Those satellites, along with ones at the $11 price point, put players into the $109 satellites, which run daily.
Players can also complete daily challenges to win free M4M tickets, which can be used for a daily shootout or M4M freeroll. All existing players received a free M4M ticket when the promotion began, and new customers will receive three M4M tickets.
This promotion ends on November 3, and all of the details are on the other side of this link.
