Now, let’s break down all of the registration and financial details for the upcoming WSOP.
In-Person Registration
As of May 3, registration for the 2024 WSOP is open at Paris Las Vegas. The main cage will accept buy-ins during these hours:
- May 3-16: 9am – 5pm
- May 17 forward: 24 hours per day
Starting on May 28, the main registration office will open in the Champagne Ballroom near the front of the Paris Convention Center.
- May 28: 9am – 5am
- May 29-July 18: 6:30am – 5am
Players must be 21 years of age or older to register and present a Caesars Rewards card and a valid driver’s license or passport. These forms of identification are required to obtain the Caesars Rewards card, too. New loyalty program members can create an account online and then obtain a new or reprinted card in person at any Caesars property. There will be a desk at the entrance to the Paris Convention Center offering the physical card, though there will also be kiosks throughout the property to obtain a reprinted card.
Online Registration via Bravo Poker Live
As was the case for the last several years, players can buy in using Bravo Poker Live online or via the Bravo app. Creating an account is free.
The first time that a player uses Bravo to register for a 2024 WSOP tournament, they will need to visit a WSOP FasTrac verification representative in the Champagne Ballroom at Paris. A person must verify that the online information matches the physical identification and Caesars Rewards number. From that point forward, they can register online and then visit any of a multitude of self-service kiosks around the WSOP areas to print their seat card.
On Bravo’s WSOP page, there are links to the 2024 WSOP schedule, as well as an FAQ page, a guide to registration, a copy of the player release form, and a map of where FasTrac kiosks will be located throughout the tournament area.
Paying for Buy-ins
Not much changed this year with regard to payment methods accepted for tournament buy-ins. The options for players are:
- Cash (in person)
- Gaming chips (in person): Paris or Horseshoe Las Vegas only
- Credit and debit card (in player’s name): Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express ($3 processing fee per event transaction + 2.95% fee for Visa/Mastercard/Discover or 3.95% fee for American Express + 3.5% additional fee for international transactions)
- Cashier’s check (must be from player’s accredited bank account and payable to player or Paris Las Vegas)
- WSOP tournament account ($3 processing fee per event transaction)
- Bravo tournament buy-in credits (TBIC) ($3 processing fee per event transaction)
Note that a credit or debit card must be verified in person in the Paris Convention Center, after which that card can be used for online registration through the 2024 WSOP. There is a $10K maximum per event when using a bank card.
Similarly, players who use a WSOP tournament account must set it up in person at the main cage in the Champagne Ballroom. They must also deposit money using cash or gaming chips from Paris or Horseshoe, after which they can conduct online transactions using said account. There is a $2,500 minimum deposit required in a new account.
PayFiniti and New Wire/ACH Rules
There is another way for a player to fund their Bravo TBIC account. This is through an ewallet called PayFiniti. It is now the “official wallet provider” for Bravo Poker. Coincidentally, PayFiniti was founded by the “visionary minds behind Genesis Gaming Solutions,” which just so happens to be the parent company of Bravo.
Anyone can download the PayFiniti app from the Google Play or Apple stores and create a new, free account. To fund the ewallet, a person can use a bank account, wire transfer, and/or cryptocurrency. Funding happens within 2-3 days.
To use PayFiniti with Bravo, simply transfer funds from PayFiniti to a Bravo TBIC account. Players can then use those funds to pay for tournament buy-ins.
PayFiniti can accept ACH/wire transfers at a fee of $25 per transaction. This is for US and international players alike. Users must use a unique transaction identification number in the special notes/message section so the wire can be matched with the correct account. The absence of such an ID may result in the wire transfer being returned.
Note that the Bravo TBIC account can be used to buy in to any tournament around Las Vegas that partners with Bravo. On the other hand, the WSOP tournament account, only fundable via cash and gaming chips, is only for the World Series of Poker.
