Poker Masters Returns, PokerGO Tour Signs Sponsor
The PokerGO team is busy these days, hosting and tracking high-stakes poker tournaments and series from Las Vegas to Cyprus. This month, they are preparing to bring back the Poker Masters series. It had to go online last year because…well…everything did. But this year’s series will return to the PokerGO Studios on the Las Vegas Strip.
Meanwhile, the entirety of the PokerGO Tour has a sponsor. And it’s not a poker operator or a payment processing company. It is Guaranteed Rate, one of the top retail mortgage lenders in the United States. The importance of a poker company partnering with a mainstream advertiser cannot be understated.
2021 Poker Masters Lineup
The return of the Poker Masters to actual felted poker tables is scheduled for September 7-19, 2021. The PokerGO Studio at the Aria in Las Vegas will host 12 events. A new one will begin each day, each with a final table scheduled for the following day. Those final tables will be available to all PokerGO subscribers.
Each tournament offers buy-ins without rake if players register by 12pm on the day of the tournament. Levels will play 40 minutes each and give a 10-minute break every two levels. Players will each receive six 30-second time extensions to handle the 30-second shot clock used for every event.
All of the preliminary events will allow for two reentries per player, though the finale will allow only one reentry. The first 10 events will give players 125K in starting chips, with Event 11 offering 150K and the finale 200K.
The winner of the overall series will win an additional $50K and the Poker Masters Purple Jacket.
The schedule is fairly straightforward:
Event 1 on Sept 7: $10K NLHE
Event 2 on Sept 8: $10K NLHE
Event 3 on Sept 9: $10K PLO
Event 4 on Sept 10: $10K NLHE
Event 5 on Sept 11: $10K NLHE

Guaranteed Rate Joins In
This week, PokerGO announced one of its biggest sponsors ever. Guaranteed Rate is a residential mortgage company that has been in the business since 2000. By the time the company celebrated its 20th birthday last year, it had 10,000 employees in 850 locations around the US. And in 2020, Guaranteed Rate had $73B in funded volume.
The company has been the official mortgage partner for the National Hockey League, US Figure Skating, World Team Tennis, and the Professional Bowlers Association Tour. Guaranteed Rate also sponsored a college football bowl game, which is the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
Now, it signed on as the presenting sponsor of the PokerGO Tour. Its new name is the PokerGO Tour Presented by Guaranteed Rate.
PokerGO President Mori Eskandani welcomed the company to the PokerGO family and to the entire poker community. “The partnership with Guaranteed Rate represents a joint commitment to both raise exposure and provide new opportunities for the game,” he said.
Guaranteed Rate Chief Marketing Office Steve Moffat noted the partnership to showcase some of the best poker players in the world. “And having the Player of the Year’s name engraved on the Guaranteed Rate Cup will be an incredible way to connect our brand to a game so many millions around the world play and love.”
