Last Chances for ACR Players Seeking High Stakes Vietnam Action
Americas Cardroom has been talking about Vietnam for some time. The team pros are trying to get there, ACR Stormers are trying to win their way there, and players on ACR want to go with them. It’s all the talk on ACR social media.
Well, it’s not just any trip to Vietnam or just any poker tournament. Far from it.
The promotion is called High Stakes Adventure Vietnam, and the prizes are four prize packages worth more than $100K each. This isn’t just a seat into a poker tourney; this is an experience of a lifetime and one that has the potential to change a life…or two.
Triton Super High Roller Series
The reason for the buzz around poker in Vietnam is the tournament series on tap. Triton has become an important name in global high-stakes poker, and it is bringing its series to the Hoiana Resort March 1-13.
The Triton Super High Roller Series will consist of 15 tournaments – No Limit Hold’em and Short Deck – with buy-ins ranging from $20K to $100K. The NLHE Main Event will run March 8-10, and the Short Deck Main Event will take place March 12-13, each with a $100K buy-in and three reentries allowed per player.
For most poker players around the world, Triton is unfathomable. Few players have this sort of money in their bankrolls.
However, when Triton hosted a series in Cyprus last September, there was a player in the field who had not before been able to play such high-stakes poker. Winning Poker Network CEO Phil Nagy offered poker pro and ACR Ambassador Ebony Kenney the opportunity to go to the series – all expenses paid – and play the $200K buy-in Coin Rivet Invitational, as well as a few other tournaments.
Not only did Kenney final table the $25K NLHE 8-Handed event – finishing fifth for $240,500 – she made the final table of the Coin Rivet Invitational. She played on the livestream along competitors like Seth Davies, Fedor Holz, Linus Loeliger, and eventual winner Sam Grafton. And Kenney finished fifth for $1.7M.
The tournament and attention changed her life.
Kenney’s deep run also garnered more attention for Triton, as players of all stripes tuned in to the livestreams to watch her play at the highest stakes and compete for seriously life-changing money.
Nagy now wants to allow someone else – several people, in fact – the opportunity to play at said stakes on the Triton tour. And the upcoming Vietnam series will be the perfect place to do it.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Once this settles in, I’ll have more brain power to gather my thoughts & thank everyone properly.

ACR Prize Packages
Americas Cardroom has been running satellites to allow every ACR player the chance to go with Nagy to the March series. The four prize packages each include $100K for tournament buy-ins to distribute as the player wishes, round-trip business-class airfare to Danang, and 12 nights at the KHOS Hoiana luxury hotel.
There have been and continue to be low-stakes qualifiers to get poker players into the two biggest qualifiers. The first ran on Sunday, February 12, and the other opportunity will be this Sunday, February 19. The buy-in is $2,650, but – again – there are qualifiers for a fraction of that price.
Last Sunday, there were two prize packages guaranteed for the top two finishers in the event. However, the tournament accumulated 164 entries, doubling the expected prize pool and allowing them to award four $100K prize packages. They went to: Starsdown, hardgainer * 3, lucky zeven, and AcesJoker88.
The February 19 tournament (at 1:05pm ET) will guarantee two packages again but will award more if the number of entries allows it.
🎉 Good news! If you missed last Sunday’s #HighStakesAdventure satellite 🛰️, you can still win your way to Vietnam this weekend 📅. We’re awarding two more $100,000 prize packages this Sunday 🏆

There is still time to qualify via low buy-in super satellites, including the $95 Beast satellite that guarantees 20 tickets to the $2,650 Sunday tournament. Satellites with the designation “HS Adventure” offer opportunities starting at $2.50 and $5.50. The full satellite schedule is on the ACR website.
ACR Pros Battle for Trips
The ACR Ambassadors are battling for the chance to accompany CEO Nagy and the satellite winners to Vietnam. They have been competing in the Pro Online Poker Challenge, with the winner collecting a prize package to go to Vietnam.
The 30-Day Poker Challenge involves the following:
-Play 150 MTTs, all small buy-in dailies
-Earn points = 10 points for 1st place, 5 points for final table spot, 2 points for in-the-money finish
That meant playing as much as possible, no matter where or when.

They’re also taking part in the Heads-Up Challenge against each other, with the ultimate winner collecting 150 points, second-place finisher getting 100 points, and third and fourth getting 60 points each.

Meanwhile, ACR Stormers are working for their chance to go to Vietnam as well. They’ve been competing in a League Games Leaderboard challenge.
-Play 2 Stormer league games per week
-Earn points = 10 points for 1st place down to 1 point for participation
Other challenges allowed them to earn points as well.
In the coming days, the pros will find out who wins the prize packages, and the final online satellite will award at least two more packages. And in less than two weeks, they will all be off to Vietnam to play the tournaments of their lives.
