Next PKO Venom to Start Flights September 17
At the beginning of August, the largest Venom tournament ever was playing down to a winner. That was an original Venom, straight No Limit Hold’em with no knockouts, but with its largest guarantee and prize pool to date: $10M. After the last cards hit the virtual felt, BabyBowser from the United States was the winner and one of two new millionaires.
The folks at the Winning Poker Network knew that players were already asking about the next Venom. Without any delay, they revealed that the next would be a Venom PKO – progressive knockout format – and play out in September.
The last Venom PKO in May offered a $5M guarantee, but the 2,864 entries set the actual prize pool at $7.16M. It was the largest PKO Venom to date.
Americas Cardroom will lead the way for WPN sites to offer the next Venom PKO. The first of four starting days will kick off on Friday, September 17, and the final table will play out on September 29. And we have all of the details.
On to the Next
The next and upcoming Venom PKO will have a $5M guarantee on the prize pool and play out as follows:
-Friday, September 17: Day 1A
-Sunday, September 19: Day 1B
-Friday, September 24: Day 1C
-Sunday, September 26: Day 1D
-Monday, September 27: Day 2 (play into the money)
-Tuesday, September 28: Day 3 (play to the final table)
-Wednesday, September 29: Day 4 and final table (play for the win)
The buy-in will be $2,500 + $150, as usual, and half of the prize pool will be paid in bounties, per the PKO rules. There are unlimited reentries available, though players cannot keep playing after they reach Day 2.
Players can register through the first 18 levels. They receive 300K in chips and play 20-minute levels. The first level puts the blinds at 800/1,600 with a 240 ante.

Venom Fever Begins September 3
This weekend – Friday, September 3, to be exact – Venom Fever will begin on Americas Cardroom. It allows for players to qualify for Venom PKO seats for a fraction of the cost. Steps tickets give players the opportunity to start their journey with just $32 and work that into an entry worth $2,650.
During the first week of Venom Fever, there will be satellites and mega satellites with a range of buy-ins: $32, $55, $95, $109, $215, and $290. Most satties will provide 12-minute levels, though the ones with turbo structures move more quickly with five-minute levels.
All satellites in Venom Fever guarantee a certain number of seats, some with as many as 10, 15, or 20 Venom tickets guaranteed. The full schedule is on the ACR website.
Players who want to start the Steps process can actually get involved for just $0.25 or $0.45. Most of those paths are nine-step processes, but it allows for players of any bankroll to participate.
