The start of the new year has brought some changes for PartyPoker in an effort to attract more players of all stripes and levels of play. The beginning of February saw the launches of two new ways to accomplish that goal.
For pros and grinders, PartyPoker added a new top-tier level to its VIP player reward program. Diamond Club Elite is a way to give back to its most loyal and high-stakes players with extensive benefits, ones that may be particularly attractive to players who felt abandoned by the new PokerStars system that replaced the Supernova Elite program of past years.
To grab the attention of new players and those without much time to grind, its quick-playing SNGs are now called Spins. The quick sit-and-gos now offer randomized multipliers that can award jackpots as high as $1 million. And the current promotion offers low buy-ins, something that directly competes with a certain other online poker site that offers a very similar program.
Dedicated to High-Volume Players
The new program is already live, with Diamond Club Elite available since February 1. The new level of VIP rewards requires that players join the program and prove their rightful inclusion by having contributed more than $200K of rake over the most recent 12-month period.

Players who secure membership in Diamond Club Elite will be rewarded with up to 60% cashback with continuing rake of at least $100K in each 12-month period. Each member will also receive a $16K VIP live event package to the annual PartyPoker LIVE event at Baha Mar in the Bahamas, as well as a complimentary $10,300 entry to the annual November MILLIONS Online tournament. They will receive VIP service at other LIVE events and access to PartyPoker through a specially-dedicated support line available around the clock.
For those who believe they should be in the club now, they may register, and upon acceptance, they will receive a $10K cash bonus when they reach the halfway mark of $100K of rake. When they reach the $200K requirement, they will receive a $20K cash bonus.
Players on PartyPoker can also qualify for a chance to win a prize to celebrate the new program by playing cash games or SNG jackpot games (Spins). Two players will win 100% cashback in addition to a 100% cashback rate through January 31, 2020.

That’s a lot of cash.
PartyPoker Managing Director Tom Waters took the opportunity upon the Diamond Club Elite announcement to take a bit of a jab at PartyPoker’s top online poker competitor by noting that the new reward tier “makes us the clear number one choice for VIP players in the online poker industry.”

Speaking of SNG games, the traditional Sit & Go Jackpot offerings on PartyPoker have undergone a rebranding amidst a promotion to draw more players to the action.

These SNG jackpot-driven games are now called Spins and are offered for as low as $5. And with that lower buy-in, players have the chance to win more as PartyPoker doubles the multipliers, which can now hit up to 240K-times the buy-in. That comes out to a cool $1 million.
The three-handed sit-and-go games – Spins – are played in a hyper-turbo format, and once players are seated, the prize pool multiplier goes into action to determine the actual prize. Spins are available from $0.25 buy-ins all the way up to $250 buy-ins, but the promotion applies only to the $5 buy-ins. And while normal Spins reward only the winner, the promotion specifies that any table that any Spins game that hits that 240K-times multiplier will reward all three players, with $1 million for the winner and each of the other players taking $100K.

As the last several financial reports have indicated that PartyPoker is on the rise, it makes sense that PartyPoker would extend extra promotions and offers to try to lure more PokerStars players to their tables. PokerStars has long been the leading online poker operator in the world, but PartyPoker held the top spot long before.
PartyPoker has been increasing its MILLIONS offerings, both live and online, as well as consistently extending more efforts to let players know that their online poker desires are being heard. By implementing more player suggestions and catering to a wide range of players, PartyPoker seems to be preparing to solidify its status as PokerStars’ top competitor.
