Global Gaming Expo 2016 Schedule Focuses on Technology, Sports Betting, and Tribal Gaming
The full schedule has been announced for the upcoming Global Gaming Expo, which takes place from September 27 to September 29 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas. The key note speakers each day include David Jr. Stern, former NBA Commissioner; Scott Klososky, tech expert and author; and Frances Townsend, an Executive VP for Government, Legal, and Business Affairs at MacAndrews & Forbes.
Also, American Gaming Association President Geoff Freeman and National Indian Gaming Association Chairman Ernest L. Stevens, Jr. are set to appear on the stage together at a round table discussion called “Stronger Together: Gaming Ties That Bind”.
This is the first time the NIGA and AGA leaders have met publicly to discuss the issues facing both the tribal and private land-based casino industries these days. Freeman and Stevens are expected to discuss how unity between the two sides makes the entire industry stronger. The event is set for Tuesday, September 27.
Frances Townsend on Fearlessness
The Monday key note speaker is Frances Townsend, a former Homeland Security adviser who is delivering a speech called “The Power of Being Fearless” on Monday, September 26. This speech is set for the Titian Room 2201B.
Scott Klososky on Humalogy
On Wednesday, Scott Klososky is going to deliver a speech called “Digital Transformation and Gaming: Taking the Lead“. In the discussion, Klososky is going to introduce to attendees the concept of Humalogy. Humalogy is the integration of people and technology in the workplace. His speech in the Venetian Ballroom is expected to focus on the areas in which the digital transformation has impacted the gaming industry, as well as what is happening to the market at the macro level.
David Stern on Sports Betting
David Stern’s appearance in the Venetian Ballroom on Thursday, September 29 is called the “Super Session“. Commissioner Stern is going to be part of the AGA’s CEO roundtable, in which company CEOs discussion everything from multinational operations to gaming supply trends. Stern’s keynote speech is going to focus on the future of sports betting in the United States.
Stern also is going to discuss how NBA expansion has paralleled the casino gaming industry’s global expansion in the past 20 years. David Stern is as well-versed in building a strategic partnerships on the global level as any CEO in America.
Esports and the Presidential Election
Key seminars throughout the week include discussions on eSports, the 2016 US presidential election, and the latest innovations in iGaming, slot machines, and table games. One seminar focuses on the rise of eSports and how it can help operators attract the new gaming generation. The political discussion focuses on how the 2016 election will impact the gaming industry over the next four years.
In the iGaming Across Borders series, visitors can attend “Gathering Storm: Future of iGaming in the U.S.”.
Gathering Storm focuses on the newest developments and technologies and how these affect online gambling in different U.S. states. This seminar focuses on how geolocation, identity, and payment technologies have improved in the past few years, and how these improvements can affect the debate over Internet gambling.
Global Mobile Sportsbooks
In “Mobile Sports Betting: US and Around the World“, the discussion will focus on the percentage of international gaming revenues that stem from sports betting. A variety of experts will take the stage to discuss the global sports betting infrastructure and how executives can capitalize on this growing market.
Besides the official conference (“Elections Are Consequential“) on the US political election, several events are going to focus on how governmental policies influence the gaming industry. One is “Inside Intelligence“, which focus on the lengthy regulatory review process of new technology. The panel discusses ways to streamline the process and the programs which individual jurisdictions have implemented to encourage product innovation.
Tribal Gaming Focus
The discussion “Great Government” focuses on the role of tribal councils in Indian gaming. Besides the various seminars, panel discussions, and workshops, G2E 2016 is going to provide a showroom for exhibitions.
