GGPoker Highlights Holz and Announces GGOC
Two recent announcements put GGPoker in the spotlight. The first was last week’s launch of a new poker hand analysis feature starring GGPoker Pro Fedor Holz. While there is some information available for free, most of it requires a membership.
The second announcement was the GG Online Championship, an online poker tournament series scheduled for May 5-31. The series consists of hundreds of tournaments and $150M GTD.
Let’s get into it.
Ask Fedor
One of the members of GGTeam or Team GG is Fedor Holz. That roster consists of Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Jason Koon, and Holz. It actually consists of Dan Bilzerian as well, though he hasn’t been listed on the website since early March. (We’ll just put that in the “never learns” category.)
GGPoker would like to confirm that Dan Bilzerian remains a partner.
We will continue to work closely with Dan to engage with new player communities and grow our favorite game.
Expect to hear about some new and exciting partnership activities in the coming months.

But I digress.
Back to Fedor Holz, a longtime player with more than $32.7M in lifetime live tournament earnings, GGPoker worked with him to design a hand analysis tool. They used something called Prometheus AI (artificial intelligence) to develop a “deep-learning system.”
The new program is called Ask Fedor. Players can “ask” Fedor a question about a hand, and the system will review it and provide advice. For now, the system is only analyzing Hold’em, though it works in cash games and tournaments alike.
Every GGPoker was given five “asks” when the system launched on April 29. Should they desire to continue asking questions, players can pay for one of several memberships:
Basic membership = $29.99/month for 30 asks per month, not including VIP games
Standard membership = $99.99/month for 120 asks per month, not including VIP games
Premium membership = $199.99/month for unlimited asks, including in VIP games
(Games with stakes of $25/$50 or higher or tournaments with buy-ins of $5K or higher fall into the category of VIP games.)
There is a deal for new subscribers, though. Every player has the chance to receive the first month at a 50% discount on any of the memberships.
Holz commented, “The perfect poker player doesn’t exist, and every one of us is curious about the best way to play a hand. This is why we’ve created Ask Fedor; your hand is analyzed in real time, and the advice provided will help bring your game to the next level. It helps bridge the gap between casual players and the professionals.”
We’ve been working on this feature for a long time now and I’m stoked to see it in the GG client! 🎉 https://t.co/jz6KECoHlV

GG Online Championship
This week, two days before the start of the series, GGPoker announced the GG Online Championship. This month-long series will run May 5-31 with hundreds of tournaments and $150M in total prize pool guarantees.
How does that work?
There are 131 official events in the series. Each one can feature up to four buy-in levels:
-Low = $5 to $24 buy-ins
-Medium = $25 to $499 buy-ins
-High = $500 to $2,499 buy-ins
-Super high = $2,500+ buy-ins
Each of those tiers also has its own leaderboard. There will be an overall leaderboard worth $500K to the top finishers, but there will also be $100K for the low buy-in leaderboard, $150K for the medium, and $250K for the high. Players earn points throughout the series for their in-the-money finishes in tournaments.
The series boasts of more than 40 events with $1M+ guarantees each.
There are many tournaments labeled Main Events. Some happen every weekend, some happen once but with dozens of starting flights. Some don’t appear to have the Main Event label. The press release, however, highlights a number of the biggest events as follows:
-Flights start May 8 for $50 buy-in MILLION$ Mini Main Event ($1M GTD)
-Flights start May 8 for $50 buy-in Omaholic MILLION$ ($250K GTD)
-Flights start May 15 for $400 buy-in GGOC Spring Classic ($2M GTD)
-Flights start May 15 for $400 buy-in Omaholic Spring Championship ($1M GTD)
-Final day (May 29) of $1,500 buy-in GGOC Main Event ($8M GTD)
-Final day (May 29) of $1,500 Omaholic Main Event ($1.5M GTD)
The full schedule is on the series page on the GGPoker website.
