ClubGG and WSOP Online Launch WSOP 2022 Satellites
It hasn’t even been four months since the 2021 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas wrapped up. Under normal circumstances, the release of the 2022 WSOP schedule so soon would be unprecedented. But the late schedule of the 2021 games followed by the back-to-summer schedule of this year puts everyone in a time crunch. So, when the WSOP released its 2022 schedule for Las Vegas at the end of February, there really wasn’t much time to spare. That allowed only three months until the start of the series.
Now, there is not even three full months remaining.
It’s time to play satellites and win those seats.
WSOP Online Satellites
The most obvious place to play satellites for the 2022 WSOP is on WSOP.com. That is a great idea…for people who live in Nevada, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania. Even for those in neighboring states, a weekend trip to those states to play some satellites might be worth it.
The WSOP online site began running satellites for the 2022 WSOP Main Event at the end of February. They will continue on Sundays through March 29.
The satellites cost $215 to enter and award seats worth $10K. Winners will receive tournament chips for the WSOP, which can be used for that Main Event or for any WSOP tournaments with buy-ins of at least $500.
This Sunday, for instance, WSOP in Pennsylvania ran its $215 buy-in satellite for players located within that state’s borders. There were 46 entries and 19 rebuys, which gave the winner a $10K seat and the runner-up a $3K payout. A player named “ArnoldSlick” won the seat. The Nevada-New Jersey satellite ran with 57 entries, enough for one $10K seat and $7K for the runner-up.

ClubGG Satellites
The only other way to win seats – officially, via official WSOP satellites – is via ClubGG. This isn’t the actual GGPoker real-money poker site, which is not available to players in the United States. It is the subscription site. ClubGG requires a $49.99 fee per month to play, but there are no tournament buy-ins for that month. All satellites are covered by the subscription cost.
The site is awarding at least one WSOP Main Event seat worth $10K per month. The process entails playing a Stage 1 tournament to win access to Stage 2. Players can compete in as many first-stage tournaments as they choose. Stage 2 then provides the chance to win a nine-handed SNG for a single Stage 3 ticket or play a 90-handed SNG that guarantees ten Stage 3 tickets. That third stage is the grand finale, the month-end satellite that runs with three $10K WSOP seats in the prize pool.

More to be Added
There will likely be more satellites available as the WSOP nears, see our WSOP Satellites page for more updated information.
GGPoker will likely offer satellites to players on its global dot-com site. There will also be many mega satellites at Paris and Bally’s on the Las Vegas Strip, starting May 31.
It will kick off with $75 and $130 buy-in satellites to the Housewarming tournament, with seats worth the $500 buy-in. Megas will then run throughout the WSOP to all tournaments with $5K or $10K buy-ins. The $5K-seat satellites cost $580, and the $10K-seat megas will cost $1,100 to buy in.
