BetOnline Starts Holiday Tournaments with Halloween PKO
It’s happening. The holidays are coming. While it may feel too soon for some, it is a perfect time of year for poker players. Holiday-themed promotions provide a lot of ways to play the game for small investments and significant payouts.
It’s no secret that poker is in the air. The World Series of Poker is happening in Las Vegas, and other tours are preparing for their final live events of the season. But online poker provides more action with affordable buy-ins, with tournaments that cater to recreational players and those without the luxury to travel.
BetOnline is ready for those players with a Halloween Special on October 31 and a Thanksgiving Special on November 28.
Halloween Special
This weekend, BetOnline will host the Halloween Special at 1pm ET on October 31. It requires a $109 buy-in and offers a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
More than just a No Limit Hold’em tournament, it will be in a PKO (progressive knockout) format. This means that $50 of the buy-in will go to the prize pool, $50 to the bounty prize, and $5 for the standard tournament fee. Every time a player knocks out another, they collect 50% of that player’s bounty as a prize, while the other 50% adds to their own bounty.
The $109 buy-in is a lot for many players. However, BetOnline offers numerous opportunities to win a seat for much less. There are many still available before Sunday’s Halloween Special:
-For $0.25 or $0.55, players can compete in flips and daily feeders into satellites.
-For $1.50, players can take steps into $12.50 SNG satellites.
-For as little as $7, players can satellite directly into the big tournament.
There are also satellites on Friday, Saturday, and early Sunday that will guarantee as many as 50 seats into the Halloween Special.

Thanksgiving Special
The holidays will keep on rolling through, and BetOnline already lined up the next holiday tournament. The Thanksgiving Special will be another No Limit Hold’em PKO (progressive knockout) set for November 28 at 4pm ET.
Note that the buy-in for the Thanksgiving Special will be only $55, but there will be many ways to satellite into that tournament as well.

Beginning on November 1, play any PKO tournaments on the daily schedule, earning one point for each knockout of another player. BetOnline will track those knockouts on the weekly PKO Leaderboard. Every week, the top 250 players on that leaderboard will win a sat into a Sunday Shootout at 1pm ET. The 50 players who win that tournament will win free eats into the Thanksgiving Special.
