BetOnline Offers Football, Freerolls, and COPS
It is an exciting season for American sports, as football fans gear up for a new season of games. BetOnline decided to bring in the football sports betting enthusiasts and pair them up with some poker freerolls. And in good marketing form, the BetOnline team is connecting this Bet & Bluff promotion with the upcoming Championship Online Poker Series (COPS).
The Bet & Bluff football, poker, and sports betting promo started on September 9 and runs through October 3. And the $2.5M Autumn Championship Online Poker Series starts on September 22 and wraps up with a big Main Event on October 6.
Let’s look at both promotions and how they’re linked.
Bet & Bluff Freerolls
It’s time for poker players to combine their passion for the game with their football fandom. Since BetOnline offers poker and sports betting, among other online gaming options, it’s not too difficult to connect the two forms of gambling.
Football fans and watchers can place a minimum of a $10 bet on Monday Night Football or Thursday Night Football at any time. Then play poker and rack up at least $5 in rake paid to play that poker. (Players must accumulate $5 in rake for the Monday football bet of $10 or more as well as $5 for the $10 bet on Thursday football.)
Each time a player does this, they will receive a ticket to play in a freeroll. And each freeroll – two will run per week – offers $1,250 in prize money. And the top finishers in the freerolls will win tickets to the BetOnline Championship Online Poker Series Main Event on October 6.
Note that the amount of the NFL sports bet will determine each player’s starting stack in the freerolls. For example:
- Bet $10 to $50 on Monday Night Football or Thursday Night Football to earn a standard starting stack of chips.
- Bet $51 to $150 to earn a bigger starting stack.
- Bet more than $150 to earn the largest starting stack of chips available.
2024 Autumn COPS
The BetOnline Championship Online Poker Series is back, complete with weeks of online poker tournaments and more than $2.5M in prize pool guarantees. The series kicks off on September 22 and finishes on October 6.
Tournament buy-ins cater to a wide range of players, with buy-ins starting as low as $11 and climbing up to the occasional $530. Of course, satellites run to give players the chance to qualify for even less than the buy-ins, and those satellites start at just $1.
Across 15 days, there will be more than 150 tournaments, mostly of the No Limit Hold’em variety but also offering at least one Omaha event per day. Structures vary from slow to turbo, and variations include deep stacks, progressive knockouts (PKO), mystery bounties, and even six-max tables.
The full schedule is on the BetOnline website, but there is one special tournament that should be highlighted:
- Sunday, October 6 at 1:30pm ET: $215 buy-in COPS NLHE Main Event ($400K GTD)
Take note of the schedule dates and times, and keep in mind that every day might show similar tournaments but with buy-in or variant differences.
There will be daily contests running for those who play in the series, and all those who cash in any of the events will earn points for a $20K leaderboard contest. Those who don’t cash in a tournament will still win a prize – a ticket to a next-day freeroll. The freerolls will then award tickets to COPS events and qualifiers.
