Ausmus Claims Overall PokerGO Cup Champion Title
The 2022 PokerGO Tour is off to a fast start. It began the year with some Venetian High Roller tournaments in Las Vegas, followed by the new Stairway to Millions series at the PokerGO Studio. Some players then went to Florida for the Lucky Hearts Poker Open, where that high roller event qualified for PokerGO Tour points. And this week, the PokerGO Cup played out back in Las Vegas. And they’re just getting started.
Jaffe Makes History at LHPO
The Lucky Hearts Poker Open (LHPO) has become a popular tournament series through the years. And its host casino, the Seminole Hard Rock in Florida, has become a huge part of the World Poker Tour annual schedule. It was forced to cancel its early 2021 series because of the pandemic, but organizers made it happen again in 2022. And the players couldn’t get enough of it.
There were many highlights of the 2022 Lucky Hearts series, most notably the WPT Main Event win by Alexander Yen for nearly $1M.
The $25K buy-in LHPO High Roller was also a highlight of this January’s action. Not only did the tournament garner a solid 93 entries, it also found a familiar winner. Jonathan Jaffe won it after a heads-up deal with Joseph Cheong. And it was important for Jaffe to claim the win because he did the same thing in the 2020 LHPO, just before the lockdowns began. Technically, he won back-to-back events.
