Venom PKO on Deck Following Record-Setting OSS XL

Saying that there is always something happening at ACR Poker is an understatement. The promotions seem endless. At the start of October, ACR Poker and its sister sites on the Winning Poker Network celebrated another record-setting Online Super Series – OSS XL. And with that barely in the books, another Venom – this one a Venom PKO – is on deck with its $5M guarantee and Venom Fever satellites already underway.

Let’s look back at the most recent OSS XL first.

Historic OSS XL

The latest iteration of the Online Super Series, the flagship series of the Winning Poker Network, ran its extra-large version in September. And this OSS XL blew the last OSS numbers out of the water:

  • Autumn 2023 OSS guarantees:  $51,561,050 (increase of 33.1% over Spring 2023 OSS with $38,731,000 guaranteed)
  • Autumn 2023 OSS prize money awarded:  $60,789,185 (increase of 29% over Spring 2023 OSS with $47,126,301 awarded)

There were two Main Event tournaments in the series, and they garnered massive numbers, well beyond what had been guaranteed:

  • Event #350:  $2,865,000 prize pool (donkeyPROZ won for $447,338)
  • Event #351:  $2,627,000 prize pool (FDvinyantin won for $427,020)

The overall leaderboard winner was RICKVAUGHN, who grabbed the $15K first-place prize for his performances throughout the series.

It’s also notable that players from 119 countries and territories played in the most recent OSS.

$5M Venom PKO: October 2023

The next Venom tournament will be a progressive knockout with a $2,650 buy-in, and as is always the case with the Venom PKO, the guarantee will be $5M. ACR Poker has yet to officially release the schedule of starting days for the tournament, but it is in the client:

  • Day 1A:  Thursday, October 19
  • Day 1B:  Sunday, October 22
  • Day 1C:  Thursday, October 26
  • Day 1D:  Sunday, October 29
  • Day 2:  Monday, October 30 (all Day 1 survivors start Day 2, play until end of Level 47)
  • Day 3:  Tuesday, October 31 (Day 2 survivors play until 8 players remain)
  • Day 4:  Wednesday, November 1 (final table begins at 4:05pm ET)

There is always a chance that ACR Poker will add another starting flight on the last weekend, possibly October 28, but there is no way to know at this point.

Catch Venom Fever

The system established to give players the most chances to win entries into the Venom is at it again. This time, Venom Fever will award an astounding 633 seats – at a minimum – to the Venom.

There are too many satellites and qualifiers to list here, but we can say players can start earning a mega satellite ticket via daily freerolls, and they can enter direct satellites for as little as $33.

  • There will be 7 mega satellites (starting October 15) with 235 total guaranteed seats.
  • There will be two Beast satellites (October 15 & 22) with 40 total guaranteed seats.
  • There will be at least 358 seats awarded via daily direct satellites.
