Americas Cardroom Pros Start 12 Good Deeds of Christmas
We’ve said it a thousand times. The poker community can be a very generous bunch.
Just at the time of the 2021 WSOP in Las Vegas, we outlined a collection of charitable acts and fundraisers around the series. We followed that up with the totals from those events and some other actions from the poker community aimed at helping others. One of those events involved Americas Cardroom Team Pros Drew Gonzalez and Jon Pardy delivering All American Dave meals to poker players for two days. They then donated their salaries, tips, and matched funds to Caridad Cares, a Las Vegas-based organization that helps and works to humanize members of the unhoused community.
Evidently, that wasn’t enough for Americas Cardroom. The site and its roster of professional poker players wanted to do more.
12 Good Deeds of Christmas
Starting last week on December 15, ACR Team Pros are doing good deeds to benefit charities. At least one pro will reveal their deed per day through December 26.
Americas Cardroom players can benefit by following the ACR Twitter account, which will amplify the good deed of each day. A person can retweet that post from the pro, tag another person, and win one of five $22 tournament tickets to be awarded per day.
It’s that simple.
For those interested in doing more, people can either donate to the cause supported by a particular pro or emulate that pro by choosing a cause close to their hearts to which to donate or volunteer. As Justin Kelly noted, it can be something as small as being kind to others.
As another year comes to an end, know that many people have struggled and continue to do so. From showing kindness and donating time to financially supporting a group or an organization, those with enough can help those in need.
Several Days in the Books
Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet kicked it all off last week. He told everyone that he’s been feeling fortunate and has a special place in his heart for homeless people. He chose the Portland Homeless Family Solutions organization for a donation, and he added a purchase of household items like bedding, towels, and socks.
Even further, he decided to make his donation to Portland Homeless Family Solutions a monthly one through 2022, at a minimum.

Second, ACR Show host Justin Kelly took the opportunity to reach out to a local school near his home in California. He spoke to a counselor there to obtain a list of families in need. Kelly chose a family with three girls, for whom he provided Christmas gifts anonymously.
He encouraged everyone to do something nice during the holidays, whether monetary or something as simple as behind kind to someone.

One of the newest members of the ACR team, Chris Moorman, was next and chose to donate to animals. As a dog person, he decided to buy toys and blankets for the furry ones that are often forgotten when it comes time to give.
It’s day 3 of the @ACR_POKER 12 Deeds of Christmas and as a dog dad to two pups I wanted to make sure the animals weren’t forgotten about. Headed off the the shelter to drop off some goodies now.

Over the weekend, Rob Kuhn decided to target the poker community with his donation. He will award a VIP package from his own Elite Poker Coaching, and that winner will also receive some one-on-one coaching from Kuhn himself.

Ryan Depaulo said that the ACR challenge inspired him to buy toys for children in need this holiday season. He even wore a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt when dropping off the toys. It appeared to be a temporary peek behind the degenerate image, and the kids will benefit.
