ACR Prepares Venom Fever and Enjoy Satellites

Americas Cardroom just finished its Winter Online Super Series (OSS) in grand fashion a few days before Christmas. The 18-day series wrapped up as the holidays ramped up, but ACR Pro Chris Moorman was hard at work trying to win a Winter OSS title. He did just that by winning one of the $1M GTD Main Event tournaments. That $138,367 first-place prize (via a final table deal) was his biggest online poker score of the year.

As that series finished up and ACR paid out the winning players, the flagship poker site of the Winning Poker Network was already working on promotions for the new year.

With a Venom on tap and a trip to Enjoy Punta Del Este in Uruguay getting closer, they decided to announce the big satellite opportunities for both.

$10M GTD Venom

The big announcement is still pending, but the first Venom of 2023 is in the Americas Cardroom tournament lobby already. It looks like the Venom – not a PKO this time but a regular No Limit Hold’em tournament – will offer five starting days from January 26 to February 5. The buy-in will be the usual $2,650, and the guarantee will be $10M.

-Thursday, January 26:  $2,650 Venom Day 1A

-Sunday, January 29:  $2,650 Venom Day 1B

-Thursday, February 2:  $2,650 Venom Day 1C

-Saturday, February 4:  $2,650 Venom Day 1D

-Sunday, February 5:  $2,650 Venom Day 1E

-Monday, February 6:  Day 2 plays until end of Level 47

-Tuesday, February 7:  Day 3 plays to final table of 8

-Wednesday, February 8:  Final table plays on livestream to a winner

There are unlimited reentries, but once a player qualifies for Day 2, they cannot enter again.

Venom Fever Begins

The way that most players qualify for Venom seats at bargain prices is through Venom Fever satellites. Those will begin on January 8. In total, they will award at least 948 seats to the Venom worth more than $2.5M.

Some of the most popular ways to win seats will be:

-freeroll TO $11 super satellite TO $95 Beast satellite (20 seats GTD) every Sunday starting Jan 8

February in Uruguay

The Enjoy Punta del Este Resort in Uruguay is on tap, with the Main Event scheduled for February 7-10. The buy-in will be $1,100, but there are prize packages to allow players the opportunity to win the entire trip, courtesy of ACR.

Each prize package is worth $5K and includes a $1,100 seat in the Main Event, $1,500 for airfare, airport transportation, seven nights at the hotel for two people (February 6-13) with free breakfasts, and $500 in cash for expenses.

There are five packages up for grabs on Sunday, January 8. The $109 buy-in satellite guarantees a shot at one of the five $5K packages, but players can qualify for free. There are freerolls to start the journey into a super satellite, then a daily feeder satellite, and then to the January 8 satellite.
