ACR Schedules Oct 12 Charity and Halloween PKO Events

Americas Cardroom and the entire Winning Poker Network always have something happening. This month, the big event on the schedule is the Venom PKO, the progressive knockout edition of ACR’s signature tournament. Venom Fever is underway for a variety of ways to win Venom tickets for the event that kicks off on October 20 and will declare a winner on November 2.

That keeps the tables busy, obviously. But wait, there’s more.

ACR put a charity tournament on the calendar for next week (wherein women can play free) and a special Halloween PKO – separate from the Venom – on tap for the end of October.

Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Americas Cardroom wants to bring attention to the matter as well as raise money for the United Breast Cancer Foundation.

-$55 buy-in NLHE tournament with $10K GTD

The buy-in is a solid $55, though there are numerous satellites running around the clock for players to obtain seats at a discount. Best of all, though, all female players on the Winning Poker Network will receive a $55 ticket to the event – free – within 24 hours of the tournament.

The best thing is that the entirety of the prize pool will go to the United Breast Cancer Foundation. As much as the prize pool may swell up to $20K, all of that will go to the charity.

Nikki Limo will host the Twitch livestream during the tournament. Some of her guests will include reality television star Trishelle Cannatella and ACR Pros Katie Lindsay and Ana Marquez. Lindsay noted, “I’m so happy to be able to support the United Breast Cancer Foundation thanks to the help of my friends and ACR. I love that they offer holistic approaches to healing and helping as many cancer survivors as possible.”

PKO Halloween Special

This is not a replacement for the Venom PKO, which still boasts of a $5M guarantee but requires $2,650 to play. This is a special October tournament that Americas Cardroom just announced this week.

The PKO Halloween Special will require just $55 to play a tournament with the ever-popular progressive knockouts, all with a $500K guarantee. Of course, there will be satellites all month for this, too, allowing players to compete for less than $55 (even for free or $5.50 mega satellites).

There will be an incredible 37 flights for players to get in on the action, starting October 23. All survivors will then combine on October 30 to play down to the final table. That table will play out on October 31…BOO!
