Americas Cardroom Announces Biggest Venom Ever
It has become the signature tournament of Americas Cardroom and every skin on the Winning Poker Network. Considering its popularity, one might think it has been a part of the ACR tournament scene for many years, but WPN only introduced it in the summer of 2019.
And now, just after the two-year anniversary of the first Venom, WPN will offer the biggest iteration of the tournament to date: $10M.
This comes little more than one month after the Venom PKO wrapped with a prize pool that exceeded its guarantee by more than $2M.
Venom VII to Top All Others
Every time the WPN hosted a Venom tournament, the prize pool exceeded the guarantee…by quite significant numbers. And that continued to happen even when the powers-that-be increased the guarantee. Of course, the pandemic-filled year of 2020 brought an increase in players in general, but the Venom benefited. Now, WPN looks to keep that momentum going.
The past editions of this record-breaking tournament were:
-Venom 1 (July 2019): $5M GTD <$6,382,500 prize pool
-Venom 2 (December 2019): $6M GTD <$5,740,000 prize pool
-Venom 3 (July/August 2020): $7M GTD < $9,680,000 prize pool
-Venom 4 (October 2020): PKO edition $5M GTD<$6,777,500 prize pool
-Venom 5 (January/February 2021): $8M GTD<$9,435,000 prize pool
-Venom 6 (April/May 2021): PKO edition $5M GTD<$7,160,000 prize pool
The upcoming Venom will surpass all of those numbers. WPN set the guarantee at $10M. The winner and the runner-up will take at least $1M each.

Players who win more than one ticket to the Venom via satellites and qualifiers may sell secondary tickets but not the original one. They can contact tickettrade – at – winningpokernetwork.com to arrange a sale. On the other hand, players can save a Venom ticket for the next edition of the tournament, which may happen later in 2021.
There are unlimited reentries allowed. Players will start with 300K chips, and blinds will start at 800/1,600 with a 240 ante. Blind levels will be 20 minutes long, and there will be a five-minute break every hour.
ACR is making it possible for players to qualify and win a seat for free. ACR offers regular freerolls. In addition, the Venom Blitz Steps regime allows players to start the steps program at just $0.11. However, they can enter the process at any level. And those completing the ninth level will receive that $2,650 Venom seat. The biggest mega satellite is already set up for June 27 for just $95. That will guarantee 20 Venom seats. Thus far, there are 380 players registered.
