ACR to Award 30 WSOP Main Event Seats June 18 and 25
The Americas Cardroom team of professional poker players has been in Vegas for the World Series of Poker. Most poker players won’t miss the WSOP if at all possible. Some of the ACR pros have been staying at the “Punter’s Pad,” which has become a staple for ACR each summer. The house is the center of the shenanigans each summer that include physical and poker-related challenges.
But Americas Cardroom wants more poker players to be able to enjoy the 2023 WSOP.
While players often want to chance to play any tournament at the WSOP, it is always the Main Event that is the most coveted one, the big dance, the tournament of bucket lists and last wishes. ACR wants to send players to play that tournament.
Main Event Satellites
The Vegas Main Event satellites are running on June 18 and June 25 – two Sundays in a row. And altogether, there are 30 prize packages up for grabs.
Each of those Sundays will offer the following satellites:
-6:05pm ET: $95 buy-in Beast & SnC MEGA satellite (5 prize packages GTD)
-2:05pm ET: $630 buy-in NLHE satellite (10 prize packages GTD)
🌟Lights, action, Vegas! Secure your $12,500 package to the Main Event in our Satellite tournaments. 💰Cash prize alternative available.

The prize packages are each worth $12,500. But they can be paid out in one of two ways.
First, a player can choose to take the prize package as advertised, which includes $10K for the Main Event buy-in and $2,500 for travel and other expenses.
Second, a player can opt for the cash. Since Americas Cardroom and parent company Winning Poker Network do not have an official partnership with the World Series of Poker, ACR gives players the option to simply take the money.
Why Choose the Main Event?
Millions of people have played the WSOP Main Event throughout its 50-plus-year history. Millions more have not been able to do so. The $10K buy-in is prohibitive and not possible or practical for many people. Winning a prize package to play it is a huge opportunity.
It’s more than that, however. By cashing in the Main Event, you can take home thousands more than the buy-in itself. By making the final table, you can guarantee a payout of at least $1M. Or you can play like Espen Jorstad and win the Main Event, which paid $10M to him last year.
Further, the WSOP has big plans this year. With nearly-historic numbers in 2022, the World Series of Poker wants to top that. And by doing so, they will crush the all-time record of 8,773 players in the 2006 Main Event. The WSOP ran satellites at Caesars-owned properties around the United States and some at casinos around the world, and there are record numbers of online poker satellites.
The extra perk this year is that as a part of the “Main Event Maynia,” the WSOP is offering a special incentive for breaking the record. If the Main Event sets a new record this year, every person in the tournament will be entered into a drawing. When registration closes, the WSOP will randomly pick one winner from the list of players, and that person will win a Main Event buy-in of $10K for each of the next 30 years.
Also in the WSOP press release:
112 $10k ME seats GTD on @WSOP.com
If the Main Event field size record is broken, all entrants will be in a drawing for a free buy-in for the next 30 years.
